browsing through the photos of the tsunami on yahoo, i feel really lucky that singapore is really where it is, in such a sheltered location. and many times we take our safety for granted. indonesia is trashed upside down, and people all the way over in india are affected too. jeff was saying during service yesterday that this could be god's 'wake up call' for those people who have yet to turn to him, but it's so difficult to see how losing your loved ones could make you anything other than a bitter person. step into their shoes, and it's next to impossible.
my mom's also applying hk university for me. i really hope i get in; i was dreaming of food like for the past hour. too bad my chinese is really so crap, but fortunately i meet their requirements which is a minimum of E8 for o levels (i got that! luckily i didn't drop it altogether). and it's also a lot cheaper than australia apparently so i'll feel a lot less guilty.
new year's days are always dull stay-home boring. bleah. the weather's been so gloomy; perhaps reminiscing of the year gone by.
