had a talk with debbie on msn. no, just a casual conversation. i think she was a bit high on coffee (is that even possible?) tried carrying out a conversation without bringing up anything to do with 'L', but i just knew she would eventually stumble into it. it was enlightening, maybe funny.
i guess love's a lot easier to swallow if you know the answer is a firm, confident yes. a 'no' would be almost as good - just like yes it gives a definite conclusion. a bit down the line comes maybe; a least you get that glimmer of hope. everybody hates idontknow. because it's actually no disguised as a yes, the lost confused boy who wet his pants but wears it anyway. complexities and dilute intention.
lucky for her, she's found her yes. maybe not her yes, but a yes. and so she sits with a rested assuarance. but marrying your best friend because you're getting old and lonely seems to carry across insincerity - why would anyone settle for second best. just out of social obligation, to calm growing insecurities of loneliness. unless that person was always the best in the first place, which makes for sweet endings.
am i just rambling
silly boy, you talk about a studying butterflies when you haven't even caught one in the first place.
and so i was talking to janice. because drinking games, in the perception of the typical perverse guy is all about making out and other scandalous things. because orgies (oh no!) are really too ambitious. or so she says. but guys are guys, after all. what kind of drinking game would dare you to cuddle someone to death and recite endless sweet poetry? we are from mars, after all.
to think that this is what i do on early friday mornings.
